MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
I hope you all are having a great New Year. STAMSP is having a great start with continued growth, 92+ MEMBERS STRONG! Thank you for your continued support and for believing in us. Once again, we are excited to bring you another year filled with educational opportunities, a study group for certification and a network of professionals coming together to learn from each other and support each other. I feel privileged to be leading such a diverse organization from all aspects of our credentialing community. I can truly say that our organization has credentialing "experts" that can lend a helping hand in those areas that can be challenging to those of us without the experience and knowledge.
This year will be a year with new goals to meet and and new paths to pave. Our 2011 Board Members are already working very hard o accomplish these goals. The Educational Committee led by Beth Sheley is working on bringing great educational programs for this year. Our Membership Chair, Tracy Needs is working hard to bring us to and over the 100+ member mark and the rest of the Board will be working hard in planning our next conference in 2012. And speaking of conference, let me divert your attention to the TSMSS Conference in which we will be hosting from April 13th - 17th. This will be a great opportunity for your continued educational and professional growth, getting to know your counterparts from across the state and to network. You never know what can happen! Please make plans to attend and mark your calendars for these dates. I would also like to ask each of you if you would like to participate in the TSMSS conference as a room monitor or assisting as a greeter, please contact me or Beth Sheley at: canalesp@uthscsa.edu or mary.sheley@kindredhealthcare.com
